Rashmika Mandanna was born in Virajpet, a town in Kodagu district, Karnataka. She was educated at Coorg Public School before taking pre-university courses at the PSE Institute of Technology. She holds a BA in Psychology, Journalism and English Literature from M.S. Ramaiah College of Arts, Science and Commerce.
